The service

ConvertBuddy is a free collection of online converters. You can use it without an account for personal or commercial purposes, within the fair-use limits described below.

Acceptable use

Don't upload malware, illegal content, or material you don't have the right to process.
Don't use the service to violate anyone's privacy, intellectual property, or applicable law.
Don't try to break the service — scraping at scale, DoS, bypassing rate limits, or probing for vulnerabilities without permission.
Don't resell or rebrand the service as your own.

We may block IP addresses or disable individual converters that are being abused.

Rate limits

Public API (/api/v1/...): 30 requests/minute, 1,000 requests/day per IP.
File conversions (audio, video, ebook, document): short-window limits per IP to keep the service responsive. A paid tier with higher limits may be added later.
Client-side converters: no server limits — they run entirely in your browser.

Your content

You keep all rights to anything you convert. We don't claim ownership of your input or output. See the Privacy policy for how files are handled.

Accuracy

We try to keep conversion formulas and tables correct, but results are provided for informational purposes. For anything safety-critical (engineering, medical dosing, financial calculations), verify with an authoritative source. We're not liable for decisions based on converter output.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConvertBuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
